REINE-CLAUDE COSMETICS is a company established by 2 young student-entrepreneurs namely, Quennie Mae C. Dungao and Chloe Jane Macaraeg. Reine-Claude Cosmetics is established due to the likes and interest of the owners, since the both of them are makeup enthusiast, they’ve tried various type of makeup and skincare products that target different skin tones and skin types. The company is named Reine-Claude which means Greengage in French. Greengage is a group of cultivars of the common European plum. It is also inspired by the names of the owners, since the word “Reine” means Queen in French, it can also be related to the name of one of the owners Quennie. While on the other hand, the word “Claude” which is the name of the former queen of France can be also inspired by the nickname of one of the owners Chloe, since her nickname is “Claudia”. The word “Reine-Claude” is also inspired by the name of the of the former Queen of France named Claude. Claude of France (13 October 1499 – 20 July 1524) was a queen consort of France by marriage to Francis I. She was also ruling Duchess of Brittany from 1514. She was a daughter of the French king Louis XII and Anne of Brittany.  The word Reine-Claude is somewhat mistaken by people as Rain n’ Cloud which represents the diversity of choices of the owners based on the preferences they want in terms of makeup. One of the main reasons why the owners decided to pursue creating and selling Lip Tint is due to the demand of consumers, since nowadays Korean-inspired look is on trends due to the hit dramas that is shown on televisions. K- wave is also growing here in the country. Since Filipino follow the trends of the people they idolize, Lip Tint becomes a big hit since actress from the dramas usually wears Lip Tint to prevent their face from looking pale. Both of the owners use Lip Tints, they’ve tried various products from different brands and different consistency. There are several types of Lip Tints, waster-based Lip Tint which has a watery consistency and a natural finish and Gel-Based Lip Tints which has a gel like consistency and the color payoff is more pigmented and bolder. There’re also oil-based lip tints, which can be compared to tinted lip gloss, the oil-based lip tint has a sheer coverage which is good for everyday look but after the trying out several types of Lip Tints. We decided to go for Gel-Based Lip Tints. Since it is pigmented and has a good coverage. We also use natural ingredients to create this product. The ingredients are water, glycerin, aloe vera juice, flavor oils, Vit B5, hyaluronic acid and FDA approved colorant. It is guaranteed that the ingredients are natural and safe for the skin. We also eliminate the bitter aftertaste of the usual Lip Tint by using Flavor Oils in the Lip Tint. The Lip Tint has a huge range of variations. It is composed of 8 shades which namely, Wine (Dark Red), Cocoa (Brown Red), Rouge (Red), Ultramarine (Pink Violet), Fuschia (Dark Pink), Rose (Pink), Amber (Red Orange) and Peach (Peach). Each shade has different flavors that varies from Bubblegum, Cherry, Strawberry, Vanilla, Tutti-Fruity and Melon. In terms of managing the business, the owners divided their task to keep the company going. Ms. Quennie Mae C. Dungao is the Owner, General Manager and Technical Head. While, Ms. Chloe Jane S. Macaraeg is the Marketing and Production Head. Quennie Mae C. Dungao is also in charge of the online transaction and development of the business, she is also the one in charge to replenish the stocks in the actual store and she also takes care of the finances needed by the store. On the other hand, Chloe Jane S. Macaraeg is the one who is mostly in-charge of the business in the Actual Store since Reine-Claude Cosmetics exclusively sells their products at CHLOE JANE FASHION COLLECTION which is owned by Ms. Chloe Jane S. Macaraeg herself.
